There is something quaintly old fashioned about British General Elections. We get the chance to put a single cross next to a single name on the ballot paper and the candidate who obtains a simple majority is then sent to Parliament. On June 8th it will be no different. Those who have already registered can choose whomsoever they like. (If you have not yet registered the cut-off date is May 22nd – you can fill in the official form by following this link) Some believe Bridgwater and West Somerset is rock solid Tory territory. But I prefer to leave nothing to chance. That is why I intend to fight for every vote by visiting as many people as I can and arguing the case to send me back to Westminster. If you would like to contact me about any subject during the election this form will go straight to my election email system.
